A consultation is your opportunity to really understand any feeding issues you are having. Our goals are usually short and long term. We will always look to make things easier for your child and for you in the short term. However, all appointments will aim to give you the tools to ensure your child grows up with a healthy relationship with their food.
I offer sessions at various points in the week and they are all online so I can see you wherever you are in the world.
Ahead of our meeting you will be asked to fill in a questionnaire and a food diary, both of which will be fully analysed ahead of your appointment. This will enable me to build a picture of your child’s medical history, eating habits, nutritional intake and your family situation all of which helps us to build a plan together that works for your child and fits in with your everyday life.
You may be asked to have your child weighed and measured and it may also be necessary for me to obtain relevant medical records from your GP practice. For some consultations I may send you a video to watch ahead of our meeting and for others I may request that you record part or all of a mealtime for me to review.
I see children for many reasons, some of which include:
- Ensuring healthy growth in babies and children
- Nutritional deficiencies
- Vegan and vegetarian diets
- Food allergies
- Fussy eating
- Dietary assessment: reassurance that your child is eating a balanced diet and meeting all of their nutritional needs.
Please do get in contact if you would like to be seen for something else not listed above.
